City of Camarillo to Host Community Workshop First Step in the City’s Economic Study

All Camarillo residents and business owners are invited to attend a special workshop to
discuss Camarillo’s economic future. The community workshop is the first step in
developing the City’s new Economic Development Strategic Plan. The workshop will be
held on Tuesday, October 10, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Camarillo Library
Community Room, located at 4101 E. Las Posas Road.

When completed, the Plan will provide a “road map” for attracting new businesses,
creating jobs, and ensuring Camarillo’s long-term fiscal health. The Plan will identify
growing, high-wage industries that could be the focus of the City’s future business
expansion, retention and attraction efforts. The Plan will also consider related issues
such as infrastructure, land use, housing and workforce development.
The City has retained The Natelson Dale Group, an economic development consultant
with nationwide experience, to lead the strategic planning process and the Community

In addition to the Community Workshop, residents and business owners may provide
input to the process through a brief online survey, which will be available on the City’s
website ( during the month of October.
