City of Camarillo is Adjusting Public Meeting Times

Camarillo, California – Camarillo is adjusting meeting times to begin earlier in the evening, in an effort to make them more convenient for the community.
Camarillo Planning Commission meetings will begin one hour earlier at 6:30pm (formerly 7:30 p.m.), beginning with the meeting on February 2, 2021.
Although the Camarillo City Council meetings will continue to begin at 5:00pm, at their meeting of February 10, 2021, the City Council will consider moving the public comment and public hearing portion of the City Council agendas to 7:00pm (formerly 7:30 p.m.), beginning with the meeting on February 24, 2021.

“By adjusting the start time of the City’s public meetings to earlier in the evening, our hope is that this will improve the opportunity for community members to participate, without having to wait until very late in the night to give public testimony or learn the outcome of a decision,” explained City Manager Greg Ramirez.

Camarillo City Council meetings are generally held on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Planning Commission meetings are generally held on the first and third Tuesday of the month.

All City Council and Planning Commission meetings are livestreamed on the City’s YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/thecityofcamarillo/live) and live broadcast on the City’s Local Government Channels – Spectrum Channel 10 and Frontier Channel 29. These meetings are also available in high definition via Zoom; all Zoom links are included in the meeting agenda.
