City of Camarillo Offers Virtual Access To Public Meetings During COVID-19 Pandemic

Camarillo, California – The City of Camarillo is providing virtual access to public meetings while City Hall is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as part of their efforts to continue providing essential services to the community.

Until further notice, all City Council meetings will be conducted virtually through web conference, as currently allowed through an Executive Order from the Governor. In order to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the City Hall Council Chambers will not be open to the public.  Although there will be no physical location to attend the meetings, there are a variety of ways the public is encouraged to view and participate in City Council meetings.

Viewing Options – Community members may observe meetings in the following ways:

Public Comment Options – Community members may provide public comments at these meetings in the following ways:

    • Email – You may submit comments on a specific agenda item via email to the City Clerk at [email protected].  Please send your email at least one hour prior to the start of the meeting.  The City Clerk will print your email and distribute copies to all Board members prior to the meeting.
    •  Phone – You may contact the City Clerk’s Office at (805)388-5397, or by email at [email protected], at least one hour prior to the start of the meeting and provide your name, your phone number and your item of interest.  When the City Council reaches your item of interest on the agenda, we will call you at the phone number you provided.  Your comments will be limited to three minutes.

There is a category on the City Council Agenda specifically related to items regarding the Local Emergency.  The City Council will begin addressing those items at 6:30 p.m.

If you have questions about public meetings or need additional accommodations, please contact the City Clerk’s Office at (805)388-5397, or by email at [email protected].
