The City is seeking applicants for its Cultural Affairs Commission. Applicants must be active in the performing arts, visual arts, and/or philanthropy for the arts, and will be vetted using a standard review process. If selected, applicants will be asked to serve a term through November 2017.

The Cultural Affairs Commission is a City Council appointed committee that serves as an advisory body to the City Council on matters pertaining to the arts and cultural development in the City, with priority focus on the Thousand Oaks Performing Arts Center’s Fred Kavli Theatre and Scherr Forum Theatre. There are currently three (3) scheduled vacancies on the Cultural Affairs Commission. One opening will be filled by the Friends of the Civic Arts Plaza nomination.
