City of Santa Paula Lifts Mandatory Evacuation Order

Santa Paula, CA – December 8, 2017, 7:00 PM – As of 7:00 PM, the City of Santa Paula is lifting evacuation orders within the City limits. If you live in these areas, you may return home.

The Santa Paula Fire Department will continue being vigilant, monitoring for potential threats, and eliminating spot fires.

The Santa Paula Police Department will have extra patrols through the weekend to ensure the community and residents have a safe transition back into their homes.

The City of Santa Paula would like to thank the entire community and all agencies that banded together to protect our beloved City during the fire. There was no reported loss of life or loss of total structures in the incident within City limits. This accomplishment is attributed to the hard work and dedication of the first responders, and support from the community members, volunteers and businesses that donated provisions and time.

Be Safe Upon Re-Entry:

Please be aware that areas you are re-entering may still pose potential risks. Please drive slowly and yield to emergency personnel in the area. If at any time you feel unsafe, please call 911. There will still be smoke in the respective areas as firefighters continue firefighting operations. During re-entry, our focus will be on helping members of our community return to their property, providing them with safe, secure, private time, and making sure they have the support services they need throughout this process.
