Classical Concerts on the Hill Continue at Hillcrest Center for the Arts

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Hillcrest Center for the Arts continues its series of classical concerts on Sunday Afternoons at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Dr, across from The Oaks Mall.  Internationally renowned classical artists and well-known local chamber groups and musicians will perform in this acoustically-perfect and intimate venue, featuring classical music the way it was first performed for the Royal Families in Europe.  Saturday, February 22 will feature Due Smirnov.

Duo Smirnov is a piano show by a musician couple, Angelika and Anton. They perform original, classical, jazz, and crossover works with a repertoire ranging from classical and romantic era to modern pop with a comedy twist. The Duo Smirnov carefully chooses pieces for their show to keep listener’s attention until the very last note of the concert! Both enjoyed successful solo careers; now, they are uniting to expand their style into something new, adding more creativity and positive energy to the piano recital. In addition to an extensive performer’s career, the couple is currently working on the album in a crossover genre, which is expected to be released shortly.

This concert is the part of a series that features classical music at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts. The goal of the series is to provide world-class chamber groups and soloists to local audiences in an intimate setting.  All concerts feature reserved seating with tickets that are affordably priced and reduced tickets for students and seniors.   Series Artistic Director, Ms. Gulia Gurevich is a violinist and a violist of the Prima Trio, a mixed ensemble which won a Grand Prix at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition. She resides in Southern California with her husband and two young daughters. Gulia is also the owner and director of a music school, and runs a festival in France and a classical music series in the Los Angeles area.  “I am thrilled to be able to bring world class, award winning musicians to Thousand Oaks,” says Gurevich.  “The facilities here at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts are beautiful.”

Reserved single seats are $20.00 for Keyboard/Premium and Wheelchair Keyboard/Premium tickets.  Reserved tickets in the regular section are $17.00.  Value seating section tickets are $15.00.  A “pick four series” is still available.  The best seats are in the Keyboard/Premium section allowing for the closest view of the artists’ fingers on the keyboard of the Steinway Grand Piano.   Tickets may be purchased at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts Box Office or by calling (805) 381-1246 or www.hillcrestarts.com.
