    By Michael Hernandez

    Worldwide Cases:       367,457                                               U.S. Cases:       41,511

    Worldwide Deaths:       15,495                                               U.S. Deaths:           499

(Editor’s Note:  Statistics were accurate as of 12 noon on Monday, March 23rd.)

NEWS FLASH:   U.S. ranks number third in the world in coronavirus cases.

NEWS FLASH:  One out of three Americans under Stay-At-Home emergency order.

NEWS FLASH:  8,000 National Guard troops activated in California, Washington and New York.

NEWS FLASH:  St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank President James B. Bullard forecasts 50 percent drop of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 30 percent rate unemployment:  “This is not a recession.  This a planned, partial shutdown of the economy.”

Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY):  “I urge Democratic lawmakers to approve Covid-19 relief bill as the U.S. now confirms 35,000 plus (now 41,000 plus)  cases.  But Democrats are holding out for the Green New Deal.  They want to argue about airlines and their carbon footprint.  They want to squeeze employers while they are vulnerable.  They are holding up emergency funding for tax credit for solar panels.   My Democratic colleague are saying; ‘How many times are we going to get a shot at a one trillion plus package?  Let’s not waste this opportunity to take full advantage to get our whole wish list.”

“Yesterday morning, the Speaker of the House (Nancy Pelosi: D-CA) flew back from San Francisco and the Senate bipartisan process turned into a left-wing episode of supermarket sweep of unrelated issues.”

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY):  “The Senate is working on the largest emergency funding bill in American history.  Our plan is workers first.  We got to get the details right.  We’re not passing a Republican-only bill.  We are working for small businesses, families, for the health care system.  The Democrats will not stop working with Republican counterparts until we get the job done.”

Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) Response:  “We need to provide relief to American workers.  This is a disgrace.  Time is not in our side.  We need to get the job done for the American people.”

Fox News Carley Shimkus:  “People are dying.  There is partisan bickering on Capitol Hill.”

Fox Nation Brian Kilmeade:  ”Our model should be how Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) and President Donald J. Trump (Republican) are working together.

    EDITORIAL COMMENT:

Washington, D.C.:  Stop partisan politics on the coronavirus emergency relief bill.  Covid-19 is not Republican or Democratic.  The bipartisan cooperation that had been seen in Capitol Hill is in danger.  Now is the time to come together as elected o government officials regardless of party!  Pass the Coronavirus Emergency Bill.   America needs relief now!

(Editor’s Note:  House Speaker Nany Pelosi debuted a 1,120 page coronavirus rescue bill on Sunday night that includes a wish list of Democrats’ pet issues.  To see the full text of Nancy Pelosi Coronavirus Stimulus Bill go to:  scribd.com/document/452911706/Full-text-Nancy-Pelosi-cornavirus-Stimulus-Bill.  The Senate bill has been derailed for the second time by Democratic objections Monday taking advantage of five Republicans facing quarantine in the midst of the coronavirus.  Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has tested positive for Covid-19 concerning many Republican Senators who have been meeting in close quarters throughout the weekend.)
