Two Visions of America by Don Jans

Commentary | We Who Gave Away Our Freedom Must Now Reclaim It

    Editorial

    By Don Jans

It is not the modern-day Democrat party, a party who proclaims the collectivist mantra that servitude to and reliance upon government is the real essence of freedom, but it is the Republican party, a party who would have us believe they champion the reason for our revolution of 1776 which was to be free from the tyranny of government, that is responsible for the deterioration of individual liberty and freedom and placing tyranny of government in its stead. The Democrat party of today takes pride in declaring it believes in and supports big controlling government, government that it uses, or it enables others to use, to demand conformity to the thoughts and ideals as proclaimed by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, and advanced by Lenin, Trotsky, Mao, Castro, Chavez, Obama, Holder, and so many others in the 20th and 21st centuries.

The very basics of this controlling and enslaving philosophy advanced by the Democrats are the exact opposite of the basics of the individual liberty and freedom philosophy upon which the United States of America was founded. Never before had a nation been founded on the principles that rights and liberties are endowed upon the people by God and not government, and that these rights and liberties are inalienable. The Democrat party adheres to the ancient and the communist belief that the only right or liberty an individual has are those given to it by government. Once that right or liberty has been given by government, that right or liberty can be retraced by government, from one, from a few, from many, or from all, if government determines it is in the best interest of government to do so.

The United States of America was also founded on the principle that it would be a republic and not a democracy. Democracy was rejected because it was recognized by the founders, that democracy is rule by the mob and is a dictatorship of the majority over the minority that quickly becomes a dictatorship of a few over the many. Lenin later explained, and this is also a major reason for the Democrats embracement of democracy, that democracy leads to socialism and socialism is the gateway to communism which is complete domination of the people by the government. Our founders said we would be a Republic because they recognized that individual liberty and freedom where the rights of all were protected, was the best way to preserve a nation free from the tyranny of government.

Not only has the Democrat party forsaken those founding principles, but many in the Republican party have also forsaken those founding principles as they opted at the minimum to go along to get along, and at the worst because they have come to believe that big government serves their needs better than does a limited government that protects and advances individual liberty and freedom.

Because of the overt movement of the Democrat party to transform the United States to a Marxist totalitarian state, and the covert support by what has become known as the RINO, our great unique nation, the United States of America, is forsaking our founding principles and we are quickly becoming that Marxist totalitarian state we were promised. We who would call ourselves Freedom Loving Americans could and often do dwell on the obvious reasons for this transformation movement, the Democrat party and the RINO’s. However, the more we dwell on the obvious reasons and neglect the more important reason, the faster we are transformed.

The critical reason this transformation is being allowed to move forward is us, Freedom Loving Americans. That is correct, the real culprits in the rapid rise of communism in the United States, are those of us who oppose this transformation and claim we are stalwarts for individual liberty and freedom. We have neglected to strongly oppose the tools the communist movements have used in their other conquests, indoctrination, propaganda, and intimidation.

The communist movement has long recognized that indoctrination, especially of children, is critical to their success. Our public schools, including colleges and universities are now cesspools of indoctrination, having forsaken their purpose of education. Yet, Freedom Loving Americans continue to send their children to these cesspools of indoctrination, thus supporting the tool of indoctrination.

The communist movement has long recognized that propaganda is a critical tool for this transformation. Saul Alinsky was as masterful at the use of propaganda as any other propagandist in the collectivist movement. Saul Alinsky’s son said that Barack Obama was the best student to ever attend their school. Propaganda includes the art of skillfully using words to concoct messages to mislead and influence. Political correctness has been and is one of the critical elements in the transformation effort. Political correctness has influenced many to believe that by transferring great amounts of wealth, the climate cooling, warming, or change can be reversed. The concept of climate change has been accepted by many Freedom Loving Americans despite there not being any concrete definition of climate or any specific scientific evidence that climate change exists. The propaganda movement has convinced many in the United States, including Freedom Loving Americans that we as a people are racists. This totally false proclamation has enabled the communist movement to sanctify evil like ANTIFA, BLM, the defund the police movement, and other destructive movements to greatly enhance the chaos in society that Marx said was critical to bring about a transformation to a Marxist totalitarian state, a classless state that is totally conforming and totally controlled.

The communist movement is extremely astute at using intimidation to advance their movement toward conformity and control. This is very natural for communists, for the Democrats, as they have forsaken any attempt to conceal their void of standards and morals. The absolute mantra of the communists, the Democrats, is that the ends always justify the means. The means includes destruction of personal lives, financial ruin, demonization and ostracisation, and yes even absolute elimination of any who oppose the transformation.

We Freedom Loving Americans thought that compromise was a way to oppose this communist transformation movement. We have learned that compromise is in fact capitulation. We refused to admit that these people who claimed to be Americans, the Democrats, are in fact communists. Communism is unadulterated evil. You cannot compromise with evil.

Over the years, we Freedom Loving Americans have refrained from engaging in conversations with the indoctrinated, including our children, for fear we would offend them. Since when is it wrong to offend evil. Our approach to engage has been incorrect because we have chosen to confront and not to engage.

Communism cannot be defended. Communism goes against all aspects of human nature. Communism denies everything that make people individuals. Communism thrives on division, jealousy, coveting, hate, control, and enslavement. Our proper course of engagement is to ask questions. Our purpose for engagement is not to change a mind, but to ask questions that will cause the other person to begin to question what they think they believe. Remember, that person must come to their own conclusion that communism is evil. We can only raise the doubt that will begin the process.

Unless we Freedom Loving Americans are willing to oppose and confront indoctrination, oppose and confront propaganda, oppose and confront intimidation, we will become slaves to the tyranny of government. We Freedom Loving Americans will live under Communist rule. If we declare we will not accept that scenario, we Freedom Loving Americans must become like the father of the American Revolution, Samuel Adams, and make it our top priority to be about “Setting Brushfires of Freedom”.

Don Jans is a national acclaimed author and speaker.  He is also a lifelong student of history, with a special emphasis on Russian history.  His study of Russian history led to 1917 which led to the study of the teachings of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.  Don has written five books on the topic of Collectivism (Marxism, Communism, Socialism, Fascism, and Progressivism).

Don has been a guest on numerous nationally and regionally broadcast radio programs.  He is a weekly guest on a nationally broadcast radio program where he discusses collectivism and how it is impacting the United States, relating current happenings to the collectivist agenda.

Don has spoken to numerous groups across the nation on the topic of who and what is the United States and who and what is collectivism. The collectivist movement has called for a transformation of the United States. What is critical for all to understand is what is the transformation; what are we now and into what will we be transformed.

Don’s speaking approach is the same as his writing approach, and that is to be direct and straight forward with no regard for the current mandated approach of political correctness.

Samuel Adams said, “It does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” If we are to remain free, we must be about setting brushfires of freedom.
