    Community invited to Oxnard’s first annual Cultural Arts Festival Aug. 13, 2016

    remedy arial, sildenafil sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>Families, friends and neighbors are invited to Oxnard’s first annual Cultural Arts Festival featuring art and entertainment for people of all ages from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center (PACC), 800 Hobson Way.

    Admission is free. The event is a celebration of the visual artists, musicians, dancers, performers and venues that make up Oxnard’s diverse cultural and creative talent.

    Attendees can head inside the PACC to browse paintings, photography and City of Oxnard memorabilia. Stop by the informational booths featuring arts organizations including the Carnegie Art Museum, Oxnard Community Concert Association, Oxnard Film Society and the Elite Theatre to learn about Oxnard’s creative community and events happening in the city. The public can also purchase paintings and photography.

    Make your way to the PACC’s outdoor stages to dance and sing along to live entertainment, including performances by O’My Theater, Teatro de las Americas, Filipino American Council, KNS ROCKSTAR and Living History at Heritage Square. Kids can enjoy arts and crafts activities.

    Indulge your appetite by purchasing for-sale food at the food trucks located at the PACC’s main parking lot entrance at Hobson Way and Ninth Street.

    While at the PACC, the public can also enjoy the world premiere of the musical Fauntleroy at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, and also at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016.

    Free parking is available on-site at the PACC at Hobson Way and Seventh Street and also at the lot at Hobson Way and Ninth St. Americans With Disabilities Act-accessible parking is available at both locations.

    The Cultural Arts Festival is organized by the Cultural Arts Commission/Cultural Arts Committee and the Oxnard Performing Arts Center (PACC). Since 1968, the PACC has hosted thousands of performances reaching more than 3 million people. Outstanding Broadway musicals, prominent guest speakers, musical acts and plays have all graced the center’s stage. The PACC also boasts eight additional meeting rooms and includes a combination of distinctive features that makes the center the ideal complex for business meetings, trade shows, seminars and many other events.
