Congresswoman Julia Brownley Presents $15 Million Dollars For Channel Islands Harbor Dredging

    News Release

This morning, Congresswoman Julia Brownley presented the County of Ventura’s Harbor Director Michael Tripp with a check for $15 million for the bi-annual maintenance dredging of the Channel Islands Harbor.
This critical funding will meet the dredging needs at the harbor, which is essential to keeping the harbor open for industries that drive our local economy, including fisheries and tourism. These funds will also help to replenish local beaches and address coastal erosion at the Naval Base.

LOL- that is money that has been coming to the area regularly for decades and originates from customs fees/tariffs. Brownley would make us believe that this is an incredible coup she pulled off for VC/Oxnard.

But she is supposedly what the People voted for.
