WHAT: State Controller Betty T. Yee will chair the annual meeting of the Citizens Financial Accountability Oversight Committee (CFAOC) to examine the recent performance and financial practices of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM). This year’s meeting will be virtual. Interested parties may join by Zoom or by phone.
CFAOC was created as a part of the Stem Cell Research and Cures Initiative, which California voters approved in November 2004. CFAOC members are charged with reviewing CIRM financial practices, annual financial audit, and the State Controller’s evaluation of that audit.
