Ventura County we need your help. Our hospitals are filling up with COVID-19 patients. The cases continue to rise. During other emergencies like recent fires you could see the smoke. You could see the devastation. This emergency is like a fire but the people impacted are often not seen. Please help us respond to the emergency by following the public health guidance. We must bring down the numbers.
- There are 2,049 new cases of COVID-19 (includes Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
- There have been no additional deaths.
- 19,519 new tests performed
- Current doubling time is 27.7 days.
- Current hospitalizations: 303 and current ICU: 68.
Testing Update
Tomorrow’s schedule will be sent out in the morning.
When this covid event started, Ventura County would break down by race who was getting infected. Now they don’t. What changed? They should return to that so we have a better idea of which groups are being, let me say ‘sloppy’ and which aren’t. Although zip code data gives us a hint of what is happening, it would be better to know, by race, what is happening.
I would like to know the # of beds and the # of ICU beds in each medical hospital in Ventura County, and I would like to know how many covid patients are in each hospital are in ICU and “regular” hospital beds.
All we get are generalities and totals for county. I would like specific information.
Here is a pretty good site. https://data.vcstar.com/covid-19-hospital-capacity/
