We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of those that have passed away. We mourn the loss of our community members and plead with our community to partner with us in preventing further loss of life by wearing a mask, social distancing, not gathering, staying home when ill and washing hands frequently. Together we can take action during this critical time to protect the most vulnerable.
A Vaccine Information Update will be provided at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, January 12 at 8:30 am streamed on the Board of Supervisors website at the following link: www.ventura.org/board-of-supervisors/agendas-documents-and-broadcasts/

The County of Ventura is seeking volunteers to assist with COVID-19 vaccinations. The State of California has provided a list of authorized vaccinators that can be viewed here. If you are listed on the state list as an authorized vaccinator please complete and submit the Volunteer Vaccinator Interest Form.
    Vaccine Registration Information

The County of Ventura is currently in Phase 1A, Tier 1 of vaccine distribution. Public Health has been working directly with the sectors for registration.

Those in Phase1a Tier 1 can register at the following link: www.venturacountyrecovers.org/vaccine-information/portal/

Once the County moves through each phase registration will open in additional phases. There are points of distribution that have been created for the vaccine and thousands have been vaccinated over the last three weeks.

We will begin to report vaccine data with our COVID data to keep you informed on progress. We are actively advocating for additional vaccines from the State.

    The current phase includes:

Acute care hospital staff who have patient contact will receive first allocations without regard to status in the medical hierarchy (staff includes all workers that work in the individual unit: janitors, housekeepers, maintenance, security, ward clerks, nurses, physicians, techs, respiratory therapists, lab techs, etc.):
    ICU staff
    COVID holding unit staff
    ER staff
Registry nurses working in the above units
All other healthcare workers in the acute care hospital (nurses, doctors, janitors, housekeepers, maintenance, security, ward clerks, nurses, techs, respiratory therapists, lab techs, etc.)
Staff at Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities and similar settings for older or medically vulnerable individuals.
Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities and similar settings that have registered with the Federal Pharmacy Participation Program (which has contracted Walgreens and CVS to carry out on site vaccination) will have both staff and residents vaccinated together.
All other hospital support units (laboratory, radiology, etc.)
Remaining hospital ancillary staff not previously mentioned
Following vaccination of acute care hospital staff:
Staff at psychiatric hospitals/residential and in-patient mental health facilities
Residents of Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities and similar settings for older or medically vulnerable individuals.
Staff and residents of special needs group living
    Paramedics, EMTs
    Dialysis Centers
    Vaccinators

As the County moves through each phase more information will be posted, shared on the vaccine page and sent to those that have signed up for vaccine updates.
