County of Ventura: Covid 19 Update May 10, 2021

Getting regular check-ups and tests for preventative care is now more important than ever.

Dr. Thomas K. Duncan has been a surgeon with the Ventura County Medical Center for over 20 years. In his many years of experience and now serving as the Trauma Medical Director for the Ventura County Medical Center, he has seen the importance of preventative care for people of all ages in living long and healthy lives. The Ventura County Medical Center, Santa Paula Hospital, and Ventura County Health Care Agency clinics are open, COVID-safe, and are providing compassionate care.

If you or your loved ones need check-ups, tests, dental, mental health, or other medical care, Medi-Cal can help. To apply for Medi-Cal, visit http://mybenefitscalwin.org or call 888-472-4463. Learn more at http://vchsa.org/medi-cal.

We value farmworkers in #VenturaCounty. Day in and day out, even during the pandemic and wildfires, farmworkers keep our food systems going. Farmworkers were among the first to get vaccinated in Ventura County and continue to encourage our community to protect each other.

    • Felipe Márquez Hernandez (left) “Because we must be aware that it is a disease that can affect many people and the vaccine is to help protect ourselves.”
    • Ignacio Reyes (right) “I got vaccinated for my safety.”
Ventura County Department of Public Health in collaboration with Curative is offering no-cost vaccine clinics. Appointment, insurance, and citizenship are not required.
