CWA College Scholarships Awarded At Winetasting Event
On Wednesday, August 11, 5:30-7:30 p.m., join the Ventura County Chapter of California Women for Agriculture to officially award six local students with college scholarships. These students are planning studies and careers in Agriculture, and look forward to returning to Ventura County after their graduations to invest their knowledge and expertise into local agriculture, farming and ranching.
This celebration will be held at Peirano’s Grocery and Delicatessen in downtown Ventura, across Main Street from the Mission. In addition to academic achievements, the gathering will feature tasting of local wines by Clos des Amis winery in Santa Paula, artfully paired with cheeses and hors d’oeuvres by Peirano’s.
CWA is a nonprofit, totally volunteer organization, dedicated to education and advocacy for agriculture. The Ventura County chapter is one among over 20 in the state. For more information about CWA, visit www.cwaventura.org
