Day and Evening Closures on State Route 126 in Santa Paula, Fillmore and Piru
Santa Paula, Fillmore, Piru – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced plans to close a lane and ramps in both directions of State Route 126 (Santa Paula Freeway) next week.
From Monday, September 24 to Friday, September 28, the following closures will be in place in the cities of Santa Paula, Fillmore and unincorporated community of Piru:
Daytime Closures 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Eastbound:
- One lane from Briggs Road to Tenth Street
Westbound:
- One lane from Tenth Street to Briggs Road
Evening Closures 7 p.m. – 6 a.m.
Eastbound:
- One lane from Santa Clara Street to the Ventura-Los Angeles County line.
- One lane from Hallock Drive to Main Street in Santa Paula
- Victoria Avenue on and off-ramp
- Kimball Road on and off-ramp
- Palm Avenue on and off-ramp
- Tenth Street on and off-ramp
Westbound:
- One lane from the Ventura-Los Angeles County line to Santa Clara Street
- One lane from Main Street in Santa Paula to Hallock Drive
- Tenth Street on and off-ramp
- Palm Avenue on and off-ramp
- Kimball Road on and off-ramp
Some closures may start and end later. All closures are weather permitting and subject to change.
Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes or avoid the area. Additionally, motorists can check traffic conditions before they leave by visiting the Caltrans Quickmap.
The closures are part of three separate projects for road repaving and storm water mitigation. C.A. Rasmussen Inc. of Valencia, CA and Granite Construction Co. of Santa Barbara, CA are the contractors on these projects.
