Democratic National Convention starts in chaos

It’s day one in Philadelphia, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz is getting booed. On Monday morning, when Mrs. Wasserman Schultz spoke to the Florida delegation, people were chanting “shame on you!” and holding signs that simply read “emails.” And shouts of “Bernie” continued throughout Mrs. Wasserman’s speech. When even your home state delegation boos you loudly at this morning’s breakfast, you know your days as a credible Democratic Party leader are finally over! It took strong-arm muscling from President Obama, titular leader of the Democratic Party, to convince Ms. Wasserman Schultz to step-down AFTER the convention. But it took the “Vox Populi” of thousands of DNC delegates and voters, in the form of angry calls, e-mails, blog-posts, and tweets, to stop Ms. Wasserman-Schultz’s ill-advised to decision to gavel open the Convention in it its tracks! Can you imagine the reaction of the delegates had Ms. Wasserman-Schultz solopsistically carried through with her tone-deaf plan to actually gavel the DNC convention to order this afternoon after all that has happened over the last few days? And the Clinton Campaign Siloviki had better think long and hard about their ill-advised, apparent spur-of-the-moment decision to offer Ms. Wasserman Schultz the consolation prize of serving as honorary chair of HRC’s 50-state campaign program!

Yes, you are probably right that it was the Peoples’ uproar that finally did her in. She won’t even gavel in the convention now.

As disruptive as all this was, it was probably better to do so than let the farce continue and alienate more millions of people.

Debbie WAH-WAH Shultz…..” boldly making her presence known.” The ultimate in arrogance has always been her battle cry.
