“I am honored to be elected to serve as the Ventura County Bar Association President for 2020. I am very excited to be working with President-Elect Marc Anderson, Secretary/Treasurer Jacquelyn Ruffin, and the outstanding VCBA staff on great events next year, including continuing education programs and our first annual golf tournament slated for May 18, 2020, at the Saticoy Country Club,” said Clunen.
Clunen’s inauguration as President of the Ventura County Bar Association (VCBA) took place at the 33rd Annual Awards & Installation Dinner. Clunen has been an officer of the VCBA since 2008, when she was president of the VC Barristers. Since then she has also served on the VCBA Board and was elected as Secretary-Treasurer in 2017 and President Elect in 2019.
Clunen represents clients in family law matters involving custody, support, and domestic abuse issues. She also mediates divorce cases, negotiates resolution of divorce cases through collaborative law and represents parties in adoptions and guardianships. In addition to the VCBA, Clunen is a member of the California State Bar and United States Supreme Court.
Ventura County native Clunen is also the recipient of the 40 under Forty Award from the Greater Conejo Chamber of Commerce. The award was bestowed upon Clunen for her involvement in the business community and vision for the future of the Greater Conejo Valley.
