Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release
On January 16, 2021 at approximately 11:09 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Fitzgerald Rd. in reference to a weapon in progress. The Reporting Party advised that a subject had pointed a handgun at several family members during a verbal dispute. The suspect was quickly identified as Juan Villasenor, 28 Years old from Simi Valley, and was last seen walking away from the residence with another male. Upon arrival, Officers located the two subjects walking in the area of Fitzgerald and Appleton and they were detained without incident. During a search of Juan’s person Officers located a loaded handgun in his waistband. Villasenor was arrested and booked at Ventura Main Jail for assault with a deadly weapon (firearm) and various weapons violations.
