The Road to Tyranny by Don Jans

Diversity In Our Military By Radicals

    Column by Virginia Merchant, PhD

It took me some time to write this article due to contacting a person, related to a close friend of mine, in the Pentagon.

Next, I ordered the book, written by an Air Force Cadet, Matt Lohmeier, who was released from active duty as a military pilot due to his views on our military pushing Marxism on troops and racism.

The interesting part is that Amazon had the book listed for purchase, which I ordered, but Amazon said they could not get a copy for me??? I tried other avenues, and finally Barnes and Noble came through–it was received last week in 7 days. The book is Irresistible Revolution – Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military by Matthew Lohmeier. Matthew is a 2006 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.   This book is written from the heart, very well done, and interesting reading. He is an Air Force pilot with 2 Master’s degrees—one in military operational art and science and a Master of Philosophy in military strategy. He was currently a Lieutenant Colonel in command of a space-based missile warning squadron until he was released by the US Air Force due to his views.   His book was written in 2021.

The Pentagon employee (brother of my friend) emailed me, not to worry, no Marxism or diversity being pushed in the Military or radicalism here at the Pentagon—he has his head in the sand or is afraid to be honest due to his position. Well, we know that is not true based on current Whistleblowers, media, writings, etc. However, be aware that all military bases in the United States were instructed to show the George Floyd video with an active discussion on racism.

Let us take a quick look at the current leadership in the military, the Secretary of Defense Lloyd James Austin III was sworn in as the 28th Secretary of Defense on January 22, 2021, by Joe Biden.

Sec. Austin is the principal assistant to the President in all matters relating to the Department of Defense and serves on the National Security Council. He was born in Mobile, Alabama, and raised in Thomasville, Georgia. He graduated from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree and a commission in the Infantry and holds a Master of Arts degree in counselor education from Auburn University, and a Master of Business Management from Webster University. Sec. Austin is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Army Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College. (All very impressive)

His 41-year career in the Army included command at the corps, division, battalion, and brigade levels. Sec. Austin was awarded the Silver Star for his leadership of the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Seven years later, he would assume the duties of Commanding General of United States Forces – Iraq, overseeing all combat operations in the country.  After a tour as the Army’s Vice Chief of Staff, he concluded his uniformed service as the Commander of U.S. Central Command, responsible for all military operations in the middle east.

Now, Sec. Austin currently works directly for President Biden. Sec. Austin hired another radical, Bishop Garrison, to purge and push diversity in our armed forces.  In addition, he is to look into “extremism” and get rid of it.  Both Sec. Austin and Mr. Garrison are Democrats.

So, who is the Pentagon’s newly minted MAGA purge man? Well, meet Bishop Garrison, the new senior adviser to the Secretary of Defense. His portfolio is diversity, equity, and inclusion. But his purview is much wider. Never heard of him? Me neither. They like it that way.

Bishop Garrison has been at the job at the Pentagon for five months now, hired in the wake of the events of January 6th. The ongoing and ultimate justification. They sent 25,000 troops to the Capitol, built a wall around it, and now the rest begins. According to an official Defense Department memo signed on April 9th, less than two months ago by the Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin himself, Bishop Garrison is now in charge of countering extremism working groups. In other words, those servicemen who are not Democrats.  Politics in the military….

I recently read an article by Peter Hegseth, a former Army National Guard Officer who now works as an American television host. He wrote a book on the military and was a former director of Vets for Freedom and Concerned Veterans for America. In Hegseth’s words is the following: “This is not the “woke” military stuff you have been hearing about through whistleblowers. This is not extremism stand down or a social justice reading list or even a foolish CIA recruitment video we have all seen by now. This is worse! This is way worse. This, my friends, is a purge. A purge of the Defense Department led by a new and now powerful radical leftist Bishop Garrison. A 1619 project activist, a hard-core social justice Democrat. A man who believes all Trump supporters are racist and extremists. And what must we do to racists? We must define them and then we must purge them.”

I find it incredulous that our military servicemen (who should be nonpartisan and concentrating on security for the United States here and abroad) have to now look over their shoulder in Afghanistan or other countries where they are deployed, and worry about the soldier next to him wanting to purge him because of US politics, let alone, at the same time, to keep from being shot by an enemy they are up against in a foreign country. This blows my mind in 2021 and it should yours!

If you recently saw Biden in Geneva at the G7 Summit in the news, you saw him tell troops abroad that their greatest threat is Global Warming. Really?!?!

I wish I had answers for what is going on and how to rectify it. My only thought is to stay strong, fight for our Democracy where you can, vote for individuals who will do the least damage, and hope for some change in 2022 in Congress, and pray, pray, pray.

God Bless the United States of America, our Democracy, our Constitution, our Bill of Rights—may they all prevail over our division and get back some unity in our wonderful country.

It used to be policy that NO politics in the military. I guess that all changed in the current administration.
Who would ever suggest their child join the military under the current conditions?
