Do Public Schools Kill?

By Mike Smith

It’s been almost a month since the Marjory Stoneman High School shooting in Florida. Since then the media has shamelessly exploited the true victims—check; the first mass-organizing effort after a school shooting has happened—check; children will not be turned against their parents anymore—no.

Actually, it’s worse than that. Children and their parents are being turned against those they disagree with. This can only make sense: too many parents are the product of the same failed public education system their children are trapped in. What more proof do we need?

The mainstream media covets school shooting stories. The media mixes human suffering and politics, repeatedly pushing anti-Second Amendment talk. No open, honest exchange of ideas occurs (or can occur). But here’s what the media really wants to hide from us:

Guns are objects, not environments.

How many more half centuries do we need, to understand that public education is what kills good parenting, and any hope of restoring the nuclear family in America?

Nikolas Cruz did not raise himself to be a depraved murderer, nor did the weapon he used against seventeen innocent people.

The Left-media complex will never admit that a system raised Nikolas Cruz into criminal insanity. How could it not have? Cruz’s parents failed him, yet no public school could instill character in the guy… let alone separate him from being a danger to others or himself.

Guns don’t enable parents to quit parenting on the taxpayer’s dime; guns don’t indoctrinate innocent children; and guns authorized only for government officials will not save lives, let alone make them “safer”.

Democratic republics can devolve into dictatorships only via a “long march” through their institutions. This was taught almost a century ago. Many well-meaning people believe the Left’s long march through public education can be reversed politically.

Here’s the problem: there is no constitutional warrant for public education in the United States. Why keep what has never belonged?

The U.S. Department of Education is what drives parents to let their children destroy America, now to where many willingly assist them. The ideas of “American nuclear family” and “American public education” cannot peacefully coexist. Guns don’t kill—government-run education kills.

If we want to keep our republic, the majority of parents must choose to parent —en masse— upon pulling their children out of public schools. The sacrifice being made now is the costliest one.
