Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release
On Monday August 3, 2020 at approximately 7:08am officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Harvard Blvd. and 8th Street for talking on a cellular phone while driving. The officer conducted an enforcement stop and contacted the driver who was identified as Brian Herron, 53 years old from Santa Paula.
A records check was conducted which revealed that he is on active probation for possession of a controlled substance for sales and convicted felon in possession of ammunition. A search of the vehicle was conducted which revealed 44.7 grams of methamphetamine and 1 methamphetamine pipe.
Herron was taken into custody for 11378(a) HS – possession of a controlled substance for sales, 11379(a) HS – transportation of a controlled substance, and 11364(a) HS – possession of a smoking device.
Additionally the Ventura County Probation Department placed a 10 day PROS hold on Herron.
