DUI Driver Hits Parked Cars

Oxnard Police responded to a multiple car accident. A driver in a small pickup truck traveling north on the 400 block of North H Street hit three parked cars. 

At about 8:15 p. m. a resident on the corner of Deodar Ave and H St in Oxnard said she “heard what sounded like an earthquake or a sonic boom”. She and her husband came out to find three damaged vehicles and a white pickup truck facing south on the northbound lane. One of the vehicles, a van was pushed onto the sidewalk. The front passenger side tire of the truck was sheared off.  The parked vehicles were unoccupied and the driver sustained no injuries.  After a DUI test, the driver of the truck was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
