Dumped at the Shelter

From the Ventura County Animal Shelter Facebook

This poor guy was found by the staff when they showed up for work this morning. He was chained to a pole outside the shelter and was NOT a happy camper. Who would be after spending the night alone in the cold?

He’s warm and toasty now with a bed, food, and water. It took some work, but we were able to get the chain off his neck and he immediately changed his mood after.

Every dog deserves their dignity. Even if you have to surrender your animal, we’ll help you through it. Please do not resort to dumping and tethering your dog for us to find. If we have knowlege on the dog and their background, it’s more helpful for us to use that information to place them in a home.

With the look on that dogs face, my guess is he’s beyond being considered as a pet.
