Easter Eggstravaganza: The Big Egg Hunt Monday, March 29 – Sunday, April 4, 2021

Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District is excited to announce the details for its annual Easter Eggstravaganza event. This year’s event will of course be different from past years, as the District had to make modifications to allow for compliance with all COVID-19 health and safety regulations. Keeping the community safe is the District’s top priority and staff have really thought outside the box to come up with an event that citizens are sure to enjoy.

All are invited to join the modified Easter celebration and take part in the District’s giant Easter Egg Hunt in the parks of Camarillo! Nine large painted, wooden Easter Eggs have been hidden in different parks around the city. The community is invited to come out to find them and win prizes.

To participate in Easter Eggstravaganza: The Big Egg Hunt:
    1. Print out the bingo sheet and parks map, found at www.pvrpd.org/eggstravaganza, to locate and record your finds.
    2. Visit one or more of the nine participating parks, find the egg(s) using the hints, and write the code word from the sign next to the egg, on your bingo sheet.
    3. Visit as many participating parks on the map (up to 9) as you can.
    4. Turn in your completed bingo sheet at the Aquatic Center (1030 Temple Ave., Camarillo) during open hours, to get a prize.

Find the eggs to get your prize!
    • First park visit = 5 Easter Eggs
    • Visit 3 parks to fill a row = 20 Easter Eggs
    • Fill the board = Raffle ticket for a Major prize

Community members are invited to share the details of their egg hunt on the District’s Facebook Event Page (www.facebook.com/PVRPD) using #PVRPDBigEggHunt.

“We put our creative thinking hats on for our Easter 2021 event and have come up with an activity that everyone will enjoy, while keeping our community safe. Lighthearted holiday events like this are needed now more than ever and we understand the importance of rising to the task. We can’t wait to see all the happy smiling faces out there of children and families as they join the hunt!” said Connor Soudani, Recreation Specialist and event organizer at Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District.

A number of community partners have been essential in making this exciting holiday event happen for all to enjoy. The District wishes to thank: Ventura County Credit Union, Catalyst Camps, Hagle Lumber, Music Freqs, B&B Do it Center, The Bookworm, Camarillo Cupcake and Visit Camarillo.
