El Nino Preparedness Event – FREE Sandbags for the public this Saturday!
viagra arial, viagra dosage sans-serif;”>In partnership with several County agencies, story Ventura County Fire Department wants to help the public prepare for projected El Niño storms by offering free sandbags and readiness tips at two “Sandbag Saturday” events hosted simultaneously. Each event will feature a storm readiness fair and “drive-through” area where first responders will load 10 pre-filled sandbags into each car.
Both events will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. The east county location will be hosted at the Mission Bell Plaza, 301-593 W. Los Angeles Avenue in Moorpark, and the west county location will be hosted at Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W. Harbor Blvd. in Ventura.
Sandbags are one way to help protect private property during severe storm conditions. Ventura County residents are also encouraged to follow preventions tips, such as clearing rain gutters, inspecting roofs for leaks, checking gutters and curbside drains as well as researching flood insurance plans.
