El Rio | Gang Member in Possession of Illegal Firearms and Narcotics for Sales

On October 9, 2018, members of the Sheriff’s Gang Unit were assisting in an investigation in El Rio. During the course of the investigation, Detectives obtained information that a wanted subject was hiding in a camper trailer at a multi-unit residential complex in the 500 block of Collins Street in El Rio. The subject was identified as 27 year old Oxnard resident, Adolfo Palazuelos and an active felony warrant for his arrest was confirmed. Palazuelos is a self-admitted “active” gang member.
Detectives surrounded the camper trailer and with the assistance of the Sheriff’s K9 Unit, gained compliance from Palazuelos who exited the trailer and was arrested for the warrant without incident.
A search of the trailer was completed and a loaded firearm was located which was later confirmed to be a reported stolen out of Thousand Oaks. A search warrant was obtained for a secured safe located in the trailer. The search warrant was executed and an additional illegally possessed firearm was located along with an ounce and half of methamphetamine.
Palazuelos was charged with two counts of illegal firearm possession, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, illegal firearm transfer and possession for sales of a controlled substance. Palazuelos is currently being held on a $110,000 bail.
