Election 2020: 398 Days (Oct. 2) Imperative for voters to attend Thousand Oaks Constitution Alive! class

    By Michael Hernandez

Voters need to join the nearly 200 attendees already participating in the Thursday evening Constitution Alive! video course featuring Rick Green and historian David Barton (founder of WallBuilders, 2001) at Godspeak Calvary Chapel, Chapel, 320 Via Las Brisas Road, Newbury Park, CA 91320.

In the aftermath of the U.S. House of Representatives attempt to weaponize the constitution with an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump—subjecting the Executive Branch under the Legislative Branch—U.S. citizens need to understand how the U.S. Constitution outlines the powers of Congress (Article I), the Presidency (Article II) and the Courts (Article III).

The largest Constitution Alive class offered in the nation states such goals as:

    • Know your Rights!
    • Gain more Constitutional Knowledge than 99 percent of Americans!
    • Learn Tangible Action Steps for Preserving Liberty!
    • Learn the Biblical, Historical and Constitutional foundation of Freedom!

The constitution class which starts on Thursdays at 6:45 p.m. and ends approximately at 8:15 p.m. is hosted by Scarlett Lani (this is her second class she has hosted in the Conejo Valley) and has already featured a live Q&A with former Texas legislator Rick Green, founder of the Patriot Academy (2000) and Patriot Academy ambassador Michael Noriega.

The Texas Patriot Academy is raising a new generation of freedom fighters (ages 16-25) in both the philosophy and skills necessary to restore America to a constitutional republic as deigned by our Founding Fathers.  Patriots learn the legislative process from actual representatives with 10,000 trained in Constitutional Foundations and 2,000 young leaders from more than 30 states trained through Capitol Boot Camps which began in 2003.

The United States observes Constitution Week annually from Sept. 17 to Sept. 23.   Constitution Week was officially enacted on Aug. 2, 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower from a congressional resolution petitioned by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).  President George W. Bush officially declared the inception of Constitution Week in September 2002.

In President Donald Trump’s proclamation on Constitution Day, he stated:

“The Founders understood that a self-governing republic requires a free and empowered citizenry.  We are therefore grateful that our Constitution is designed, first and foremost, to secure liberty.  Through a system of limited Government and checks and balance, the Constitution limits the ability of the State to become an obstacle to human flourishing, while simultaneously enabling the State to serve order, protect rights, and provide public goods.

“The drafters of our  Constitution were committed not to a king or Government but to a belief in the promise of America as a free and prosperous society.  To fulfill that promise, they designed a government and a Constitution that could withstand the inevitable demagoguery, passions, and exigencies that would seek to unmake us as a people.  And through the durability of our Constitution has been tested through crises and wars, it had endured.”

(Editor’s Note:  To read President Trump’s message on religious liberty delivered at the United Nations 74th General Assembly in New York where he said:  “rights do not come from government; they come from God” see:  https://www.citizensjournal.us/president-trump-our-founders-understood-that-rights-do-not-come-from-government-they-come-from-god/.)
