emPower Program Joining Ventura County Earth Day Celebrations to Promote Home Conservation

County Program Offers Green Advice to Help Community Be Environmentally Friendly

(Ventura County, Calif.) – emPower Central Coast is proud to join the community to celebrate Earth Day throughout April at four events happening around Ventura County.

emPower representatives will dole out advice on creating an energy efficient home and details on the available incentives for making these home improvements. Additionally, visitors can sign up to have SoCalGas send them a free Energy Efficiency Kit.

Booth visitors can additionally schedule a free home consultation with an emPower Energy Coach to identify common energy efficiency issues such as inefficient appliances and poor insulation levels. emPower can also refer homeowners to participating local, qualified contractors and connect them with utility incentives up to $5,500, as well as low-interest, unsecured financing that starts at 3.9%.

“The best part about Earth Day is that it brings together so many people who want to make their home greener but may not be sure where to begin,” said Leigh Lain Walker, emPower Program Technical Specialist. “Installing a photovoltaic system is wonderful, but really, it could be the final step. There are simpler, more subtle ways that really transform the way our homes use energy. We can’t wait to let everyone know more!”

Visitors can make their way to emPower’s booth at the following four Earth Day events:
