About National Latino Peace Officers Association

The Ventura County Chapter has been funding scholarships for youths in our community since 2003. Each year a scholarship banquet is held in April to honor the recipients. NLPOA is a non-profit organization and the funding for the scholarships comes from donations and several fundraising events held by the Ventura County Chapter. Some of the fundraising events include working a food or beverage booth at the California Strawberry Festival in Oxnard. The NLPOA Ventura County Chapter also holds an annual Comedy Show. The Ventura County Chapter has been recognized nationally for their commitment to providing youths in our community with a chance to obtain a higher education.
