The Ventura County Women’s Economic Roundtable (WER) is pleased to host the 2nd bi-annual young women’s conference, “WOMENtum: The Perfect Self(ie)—Building Your Professional Toolkit” from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 3, at the Ventura County Office of Education.
Young women between the ages of 15 and 25 are invited to attend the free, one-day event featuring dynamic presentations and discussions on a range of topics including: Women Bloggers/Social Media; Internships; Financial Literacy; Personal Brand; Self- Esteem, Self-Care, and Communication.
The presentations and discussions will be led by dynamic women leaders from Ventura County including keynote speaker, Dr. Jessica Lavariega Monforti, who is the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at California Lutheran University. Continental breakfast, box lunches and parking are free to attendees.
WER–established by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors in 2014—was tasked with finding ways to raise the economic well-being of women living in Ventura County and WOMENtum 2018 will do just that by providing young women with information and the inspiration to create a more prosperous future for themselves.
WER also looks to help link together existing women’s organizations throughout Ventura County to further its mission of enhancing the economic status of women.
