    7th Annual Ride of Silence in Thousand Oaks

    The City of Thousand Oaks and Conejo Valley Cyclists encourage residents to participate in the annual Ride of Silence on Wednesday, May 21st at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks, 2200 Thousand Oaks Blvd. The pre-ride program will begin at 5:30 PM; official ride at 6:30 PM with police escort. 

    The Ride of Silence is a worldwide event to honor bicyclists killed by motorists on public roads, promote sharing the road, and provide awareness of bicycling safety. 2014 marks the 7th year for the Ride of Silence in Thousand Oaks.

    The Ride of Silence is a free ride that asks its cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph, wear helmets, follow the rules of the road, and remain silent during the ride.
