Working together, we organized residents throughout Oxnard to put Measure M on the November ballot so we can repeal the city’s unfair 87% utility rate increase. This is truly a great achievement for our community! However, stopping the rate hike is only one part of the solution. We also must restore the people’s voice at City Hall!  That’s why so many residents have asked me to run for City Council.

I wanted you to know that I have responded to our community’s call to leadership and will be announcing my candidacy for City Council on Sunday, Aug. 7 at Tomas Café in Oxnard.

As your candidate for City Council, I offer community experience in leading the fight against unfair utility bills and business experience as the Financial Controller for one of Oxnard’s most successful local companies.

My goals are 1) empowering Oxnard residents by restoring accountability at the City Council; 2) making Oxnard more business friendly to create good paying local jobs; and 3) focusing city government on providing essential services such as protecting our safety and fixing our streets.

I would be honored to have you join me at my Campaign Kickoff and sign my nomination papers so I can become an official candidate for City Council in the November 8th election.
