ABOUT AUTHOR ARTHUR J. GONZALEZ AND THE PHOTO TRAVELER
Born and raised in Miami, 28-year-old author Arthur J. Gonzalez is a recent transplant to Southern California. He attended the University of Florida where he majored in consuming quantities of coffee and chocolate. His first novel, The Photo Traveler” is a young adult story whose premise surrounds 17–year-old Gavin, when he discovers he’s part of a small group called Photo Travelers, who can time travel through photos and images.
“I came up with the idea for the book when looking at a photograph of my late grandmother as a young woman in Havana,” said Gonzalez. “ I looked at the picture and knew I would give anything to transport to this photo right now. From that moment my crazy mind spiraled in every direction. I asked myself: Wow. What if we could time travel through photos? I started wondering what life would be like if we could relive memories or visit old places, by going back to them. And from there, The Photo Traveler was born.” The book has received several awards and recognitions including the first ever IndieReCon Best Children’s Indie Novel Award; #2 Best Seller on Amazon’s Young Adult Time Travel Novels; #3 Best Seller on Amazon’s Young Adult Fantasy Novels; and, over 515,000 reads on www.wattpad.com. Mr. Gonzalez is an inspiration to young writers and readers. His second novel, The Peace Hunter, is set for release in Fall 2014.
