Thousand Oaks, CA – California Lutheran University and the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a State of the University Address on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m, at the Lundring Events Center. Dr. Chris Kimball, University President, will deliver a keynote address highlighting the current priorities, plans and progress for the private liberal arts school in Thousand Oaks.
As the University’s seventh president, Chris Kimball is leading Cal Lutheran with a commitment to academic excellence, service, and real-world learning. A historian by training, he publishes and lectures on topics ranging from the history of baseball to trends in higher education.
This year, Dr. Kimball’s remarks will be followed by a panel presentation by the Dean’s Council Members representing the five university departments:
- Gerhard Apfelthaler, Ph.D. – Dean, School of Management
- Lisa Buono, Ed.D. – Director, Bachelor’s Degree of Professionals Program
- Michael Hillis, Ph.D. – Dean, Graduate School of Education
- Richard Holigrocki, Ph.D. – Dean, Graduate School of Psychology
- Jessica Lavariego-Monforti, Ph.D. – Dean, College of Arts & Sciences
