prostate arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>The Hap Rapp Track Meet is a Camarillo tradition. Rotarian Hap Rapp founded the meet for aspiring young athletes 54 years ago.
This year the meet will be on Saturday, May 21 at the Adolfo Camarillo High School Track. The meet is designed for 4th through 8th graders to discover their athletic ability. Over 300 students from 14 schools are expected to participate. Events include the 50-, 75-, and 100-yard dashes, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, relays and distance races. Trophies and ribbons will be presented and high scores will be posted online at www.episports.com
The Guy Craig Memorial Award will go to the school that demonstrates the best overall preparedness, sportsmanship, conduct and cooperation. The program schedule is:
8 am Long jump and high jump
10 am Sprint events
12 noon Shot put
1 pm Distance races
3 pm Relays
