The Channel Islands Republican Women Federated is celebrating 65 years this year. So too is the Republican Party celebrating an anniversary. The Party of Lincoln was founded in 1854. The values and ideas embodied in the Republican Party at its founding were so powerful that merely six years later in 1860 Abraham Lincoln would be elected the first Republican President.
