The City of Ventura will hold a ceremony on Monday, December 3, 2018 in observance of the one-year anniversary of the Thomas Fire.  The community is invited to attend the ceremony that will be held at 5:30 p.m. on the front steps of Ventura City Hall, 501 Poli Street, preceding the regularly scheduled City Council meeting at 6:00 p.m.

The ceremony will include comments from Deputy Mayor Matt LaVere and Fire Chief David Endaya, followed by a moment of silence to remember those who lost their lives, and traditional bagpipe music from the Ventura City Firefighters Pipes & Drums band. Handheld battery candles will be available for participants (while supplies last) to show support and reflect the strength of our community.

Parking is available behind City Hall and Downtown. California Street, from Main to Poli Streets, will be closed from 4:30-6:30 p.m.; Poli Street will be closed in front of City Hall.
