Ron Gold was previously California Deputy Attorney General where he served as a hearing officer and a liaison with the California legislature, was involved with multiple jury trials, published Court of Appeal decisions, Attorney General opinions and litigation for the state including defense of former governor, Ronald Reagan, and current governor, Jerry Brown. He received the Board of Supervisors Award from Ventura County for his work at Camarillo State Hospital and commendations for mediation with the Court, and served as a Judge ProTem.
G. Rick Marshall currently works in the Information Technology Department at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center and serves as Vice-Chair of the City of Torrance Water Commission. He is running for the Board of Equalization on a platform of tax simplification and delivery of efficient government services while eliminating the drag of high taxes and burdensome regulations. He is endorsed by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayer Association and is a strong supporter of Proposition 13.
