The Conejo Valley YMCA is hosting its 12th annual Turkey Day Dash on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 24. The 5K run/walk and 1K family fun run/walk is held at California Lutheran University (60 West Olsen Rd., Thousand Oaks). The length of the races are short enough so everyone can participate in healthy exercise and still make it home in time to prepare for a Thanksgiving gathering. All ages and abilities are welcome. Professional timing is provided for 5K runners. The 1K family fun run/walk is at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K run/walk starts at 8:00 a.m. Proceeds from the Turkey Day Dash benefit Conejo Valley YMCA youth and senior programs. Online registration through November 20:  $35/individuals and $75/families (immediate family members only). November 22 and 23 at Road Runner Sports in Newbury Park: $40/individuals, $85/families. Race day: $45/individuals and $100/families. Participants receive a Turkey Day Dash YMCA t-shirt while supplies last.
