FOR THE TROOPS presents 4th Annual Golf Tournament to support deployed military.

 Simi Valley, CA, …For The Troops, an all-volunteer California non-profit organization supporting our deployed military, based in Simi Valley, is holding its 4th Annual Golf Tournament, Auction and Dinner on June 16^h 2014 at Moorpark Country Club located at 11800 Championship Drive, Moorpark, CA 93021.  Shotgun start is at 12 noon, followed by the Golf Ball Drop Raffle, dinner and auction. 

 The event includes a Four Person Scramble, Two Putt Maximum, Prizes for First, Second and Third High Teams, Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive, men & women.  Every golfer receives: •18 Holes of Golf; •Box Lunch with Water Stations throughout the course •Awards Dinner • Driving Range & Practice Putting Green • Opportunity to purchase a package that includes four different Hole-in-One Automobiles, 2 Mulligans, 1 Toss and 10 Raffle Tickets.

Sponsorships are available at most levels, dinner and lunch, tee box sign, co-host, corporate and fairway signs.  Companies or individuals may donate their foursomes to active duty military personnel or Veterans. Tournament Director, Bob Lanham states, “Skill level is not a criteria to play in this tournament.  It is expected to generate a lot of fun, excitement and raise funds for more “We Care” packages for our sons, daughters, husbands and wives serving in the deployed locations.” 

The cost is $225 per golfer and that includes all golf fees, lunch and dinner.  Foursomes are $900.  Dinner-only is $60.  Reservations are a must by June 10, 2014. 

Silver Star Motors along with Shaver Chrysler Jeep Fiat, Galpin Ford has sponsored a “hole-in-one” prize of a new car on four different holes (requires a purchase of a ticket for each one).  A player can go home in a new Cadillac, Jeep, a Ford or win a new Harley Davidson Motorcycle from Simi Valley Harley Davidson plus a 70″ Flat Screen Television from Wilshire Entertainment.  “Long shot?  Absolutely!  Impossible?  Absolutely not!  “The ball is going to end up somewhere on their drive.  Why not take a chance that it ends up in the hole?”  Lanham said.  A helicopter “Golf Ball Drop Raffle” will be held and tickets are now available for $10-1 ticket, $25-3 tickets, $100-13 tickets.  The ball that comes closest to the pin or first in the hole will win a trip to Maui for two for 7 days/6 nights at Royal Lahaina Resort including two FIRST CLASS Delta airline tickets from LAX and a limo ride to and from LAX!  At the awards dinner, there will be an extensive variety of auction items available.
