    0

The Friends of the Camarillo Library sponsors a variety of trips open to the general public.  On Thursday, June 29 we’ll be exploring two of Santa Barbara’s hidden treasures, Lotusland and the Karpeles Manuscript Library.  We’ll start at Lotusland with a docent led 2-hour walking tour of the 37 acre estate and botanic garden located in the foothills of Montecito; please wear comfortable walking shoes and let us know if you’d prefer a slower, walking docent tour.  Enjoy lunch on your own at a café or restaurant on State Street.  After lunch, the tour will continue at the Karpeles Mauscript Library which contains David Karpeles’ collection of historical letters, paintings, and charts dating back to antiquity.

The cost is $100.00 for members and $115.00 for non-members. The tour departs at 8:15 AM from the Camarillo Library parking lot and returns at 5:30 PM.  For further information and reservations, contact: Helen Andrews at (805) 482-5269 between 10 AM and 6 PM, Monday-Saturday.  Please make your reservation by May 26.
