decease arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>HashtagComedy has been bringing some of Hollywood’s funniest headliners to Thousand Oaks each month for an evening of entertainment.  July’s fun yet intimate cabaret setting is Saturday, July 23 at 8:00 pm at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Dr. The hour and a half show is for eighteen years and up only, and cocktails may be purchased with valid ID.  Doors open at 7:30.  Future 2016 HashtagComedy performances are slated for July 2, and August 13, 2016. Summer settings are often outside, under the stars.

(It recently happened to HashtagComedy performer Jon Rudnitsky!), then check out the monthly laughs at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts.  Some of Hollywood’s most popular headlining comics perform right here in our own backyard.  Please note: these shows are 18+ and may feature humor that will be offensive to some.         

Kristal Oates is an actress, comedian, print model, writer and lover of art and entertainment. Kristal has performed at many major clubs across the country and is the producer of The “C” Word Show every Thursday at 8pm in the Belly Room of the World Famous Comedy Store. Currently, she’s crafting her one woman show!

Jackie Tohn

Jackie Tohn recently played GILDA RADNER in the new Netflix movie, “A Futile and Stupid Gesture,” alongside Will Forte, Domhnall Gleeson, Seth Green, Joel McHale and more.   She has guest starred on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Sopranos, House of Lies, Castle and many more. Her recent movies include, “CHiPS” (Dax Shepard & Michael Pena), “Bad Roomies,” and “Sisters” (Tina Fey & Amy Poehler.) She was in the Top 24 of AMERICAN IDOL.

 

Chris Porter received his first claim to fame from season four of Last Comic Standing placing 3rd in the contest. He has also appeared on The Bob & Tom Show, Comedy Central’s Live Tour, and appeared on Live at Gotham in Summer 2006. In 2009, Porter made an appearance on Comedy Central Presents. He often opens for the Grammy award winning artist, Kid Rock and is currently writing for “The Inappropriate Game Show” on MTV2. His comedy special “Chris Porter: Ugly and Angry” is available for streaming on Netflix.

Julia Jasunas  is the producer of HashtagComedyLA and a native to the Conejo Valley. Julia is a comedienne, actor, singer/songwriter, dancer and all around performer. Julia majored in musical theatre at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and has since come home to continue her endeavors in her craft.  You can often find Julia performing stand-up comedy at many Hollywood hot spots such as The Comedy Store, The Hollywood Improv, Westside Comedy Theatre, Flappers Comedy Club, and The Lyric Theatre as well as The Comedy Palace and Madhouse Comedy Club in San Diego, Ca. Most recently, Julia opened for 2015 Last Comic Standing Finalist, Ian Bagg at the Pittsburgh Improv and currently travels the country performing at various venues with Chris Porter, John Heffron, Eddie Ifft, Ahmed Ahmed and more!  She has also been featured in many regional musicals such as “Annie” (featuring Sally Struthers) with Cabrillo Music Theatre and “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” as well as a few national commercials. Look out for her debut the NBC short film Andi & Dee Break Up?
