THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Live Standup Comedy on the Hill returns Saturday, August 11 at 8:00 pm at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Dr, across from The Oaks Mall.  August’s lineup includes Wendy Liebman and Nick Cobb.  The Center teams up with professional local comedian Jason Love to produce a top-tier show with a new lineup each month.  Now performing to sold-out audiences, this experience in comedy entertainment brings some of Hollywood’s funniest headliners to Thousand Oaks every month and tickets are now available three months in advance.   Summer shows are often outdoors under the stars. All shows are 8:00 pm with doors opening at 7:30.  The hour and a half show is for eighteen years and up only, and beer and wine may be purchased with valid ID.

Wendy Liebman has been a regular on late night television, including Carson, Fallon, Letterman, Kimmel, Ferguson and Leno. She has done 1/2 hour specials for HBO and Comedy Central, and her first hour, “Wendy Liebman Taller on TV” premiered on Showtime 11/11.  Wendy performs at clubs, corporations and benefit concerts throughout the US and Canada, and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, her stepsons and her two funny dogs. Recently, you have seen Wendy on NBC’s AMERICA’S GOT TALENT.

Nick Cobb hails from Memphis, TN, where it was at a tiny Beale Street bar that Nick won a stand-up competition, was bitten by the comedy bug and moved to New York to pursue The Dream.  Nick’s been seen on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, VH1’s Morning Buzz, AMC’s Date Night as well as on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” Less than a year ago, Nick took his talents to Los Angeles where he won the March Madness Competition at the Hollywood Improv, appeared on Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, and had his late night debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Audience members are learning to come early due to sell-out audiences and full houses.  Many evenings include up to four comedians, with plenty of surprises.

Producer and host Jason Love has appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, America’s Got Talent, and over 20 national broadcasts.   He has performed overseas for the troops and on the seas for cruise lines, and was a finalist at the Cabo Comedy Festival.  Jason’s non-profit, Love & Laughter, brings free shows to cancer support communities and others in need.

Standup Comedy on the Hill general admission tickets are only $12 presale (available through the day before the day of the show) and $15 at the door.  Tickets may be purchased at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts Box Office or by calling (805) 381-1246 or www.hillcrestarts.com.
