THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Live Standup Comedy on the Hill returns Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the regular time of 8:00 pm.  The Drive-In Edition will be held LIVE in the parking lot of Conejo Creek South at 1300 E Janss Rd in Thousand Oaks, California.  Audience members can enjoy this setting with sound from their car’s FM Radio, or they can stay at home and attend via Zoom or YouTube Live.  December’s lineup includes Danny Jolles, Charlene Mae, Nick Cobb and Tommy Savitt.  Professional local comedian Jason Love hosts and produces this monthly show in collaboration with the Hillcrest Center for the Arts.  The show features a new lineup each month with some of America’s funniest headliners.   There will be stage set up in front of the screen for the Comics and audience members are encouraged to honk their horns so the comics can hear the “laughter”.  Those who choose to watch from their homes may laugh or chat with fellow audience members or via YouTube Live.

Danny Jolles made his late night debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in July 2018, after 8 years of stand up in clubs and colleges.  Danny is best known for playing George on the CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.  He has also appeared on The Joel McHale Show, Love, and Splitting Up Together. Movie credits include Ithaca, Patchwork and the lead in the upcoming feature Blowing Up Right Now.

Charlene Mae is a Stand-up Comedian & Actress from the small mill-town of Lawrence, Massachusetts.  Charlene immersed herself in the world of stand-up comedy in Boston, Massachusetts. She has toured with Disney’s “LabRat’s” and has performed at comedy festivals throughout the northeast and in Edinburgh and Amsterdam. Her Television credits include CBS’ Rules of Engagement, TV Land’s “Hot in Cleveland”, ABC’s “Baby Daddy” and performances on Nickelodeon and Disney.

Nick Cobb hails from Memphis, TN, where it was at a tiny Beale Street bar that Nick won a stand-up competition, was bitten by the comedy bug and moved to New York to pursue The Dream.  Nick’s been seen on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, VH1’s Morning Buzz, AMC’s Date Night as well as on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” Less than a year ago, Nick took his talents to Los Angeles where he won the March Madness Competition at the Hollywood Improv, appeared on Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, and had his late night debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Tommy Savitt received his Juris Doctor in 1997, but found his law practice unfulfilling and left it to pursue his passion, stand-up comedy.  Savitt is a 17 year comedy veteran who began in his hometown of New York City, where he also starred in productions of Shakespeare.  After developing his “Hey Tommy” character, he was featured on Bob & Tom and Blue Collar Radio and performed around the world for the troops.  He’s won the prestigious Seattle Comedy Competition and best comedian at the Boston Comedy Festival , Ventura Comedy Festival, and the LA Comedy Awards.  His new stage persona, Tommy Lama, has proved a hit at comedy clubs and festivals internationally and landed residencies at The Tropicana and The Stratosphere in Las Vegas.

Producer and host Jason Love has appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, America’s Got Talent, and over 20 national broadcasts.   He has performed overseas for the troops and on the seas for cruise lines, and was a finalist at the Cabo Comedy Festival.  Jason’s non-profit, Love & Laughter, brings free shows to cancer support communities and others in need.
