Free event offers hands-on fun to encourage kids to think “outside the box”
Families are invited to bring their imaginations and innovation to the Global Cardboard Challenge, a unique event where kids and adults use cardboard and other recyclable materials to create works of art and discover the versatility of recyclable materials through creative play.
Sponsored by kidSTREAM, an emerging children’s museum, and Studio Channel Islands, the event takes place from 1 to 3 p.m., Oct. 7, at Studio Channel Islands, 2222 E. Ventura Blvd., Camarillo. The event is free to the community. For more information, visit http://www.kidstream.org/.
In preparation for the event, area residents are encouraged to drop off their recyclable cardboard and other recyclable items at Studio Channel Islands from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., every Wednesday in September.
