On Saturday August 20th 2016 Simi Valley has an opportunity to show support to our Simi Valley Police Officers’ Association, a non-profit organization that supports our Police Officers. Simi Valley BPOE Elks Lodge #2492 has agreed to host and donate the food for a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser to help injured SVPD Officer Tom Carney and his family. The pancake breakfast goes from 8:00am to 12:00pm (noon) at 1561 Kuehner Dr, Simi Valley, CA 93063. Donations tickets for the breakfast are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 10 years old. Planned menu includes pancakes, eggs sausage or bacon, fruit, bagels & toast, coffee or juice.
The event is under the coordination of Pam Messier, a special event planner, whose goal is to continue to support causes in our community. Messier has been recently recognized by several organizations for her ongoing compassion in the community. She states “While we understand that Officer Carney has miraculously made it home to convalesce from his on-duty motorcycle accident, he still has a long road ahead of him for recovery. Our community wants Tom and his family to know that we will continue to support them in any way we can and this pancake breakfast is just one of those opportunities.”
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Simi Valley Police Officers Association to continue to support Officer Carney.
