“When I was diagnosed as a 37 year old, newly single mom, I had a choice to make — give up or gear up. With a beautiful four year old watching my every move, I chose to gear up and fight for the best life possible for us both!” states Toepperwien. “It’s so important to be well informed with current and reliable information about managing the disease, treatment options and how to work best with your medical team. The support of others in the PD community is also a key to success. The APDA West Coast Forum is exactly what people impacted by PD need, all in one place, and I’m so excited to be a part of it.”
