    Red Cross Blood Drive ~ Moorpark College

    what: The American Red Cross depends on blood donors to collect enough blood to meet the needs of patients at about 2, cure 600 hospitals nationwide.

    Donors with all blood types are needed, particularly those with types O negative, A negative and B negative.

    Donors can give blood at the following locations, days and hours:

    Moorpark College, 7075 Campus Road. 9 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. Tues., March 10.

    Rancho Santa Susana Community Center, 5005-C Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley. 1 to 7:15 p.m. Fri., March 13.

    Thousand Oaks Inn, 75 W. T.O. Blvd. 1 to 7:15 p.m. March 2, 4 and 9. Also 2 to 8:15 p.m. Wed., March 11.

    A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

    High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
