RISE 2021: Possibility in Postsecondary Panel
At RISE 2021, Dr. Ruth Watkins, President of the Strada Education Network, Dr. Kim Hunter Reed, Commissioner of Higher Education for Louisiana, and Dr. Shannon Gilkey, Commissioner of Higher Education for Rhode Island, discussed how the higher education system should look following the disruptions caused by the global pandemic.

Join the Reagan Institute for a recap of the RISE panel “Possibility in Postsecondary Education.” After the panel, Dr. Dave Clayton, Dr. Nichole Torpey-Saboe, and Dr. Melissa Leavitt of the Strada Education Network will discuss the results of their recent survey “Reconnecting Recent High School Grads With Their Education Aspirations.” It is apparent that the high school classes of 2020 and 2021 have endured massive disruptions to their education. To examine the effects, the Strada Education Network surveyed more than 1,000 recent high school graduates who postponed their plans to enroll in postsecondary education and interviewed a subset about their experiences. To learn more and to discuss how to reconnect students with their education aspirations, register for this important discussion today.
